Author Adspaces Plugin — Advertising Network suggestions. When a blog owner uses the Author Ad Spaces Wordpress Plugin they give full control of the advertising space on their blog pages to the person who contributed the article.

For Money Ads

Google Adsense - Probably the most popular ad publishing network of them all. Lots of control over the appearance of ads and potentially high revenue clicks. Google pay an undisclosed percentage of what the advertiser pays on Google Adwords. (Where clicks can be expensive).

Chitika - Offer a wide range of ad types and widgets specially designed for blogs. Their Lynx ads can be very effective indeed. Chitika also offer an affiliate program. You earn a bonus equal to 10% of what your referrals earn in the first 15 months of thier membership. (see their website for more details.)

Kontera - Offer context link ads similar to Chitika Lynx ads.

(Both Chitika and Kontera ads can make a site load slowly, if used they should be placed in the footer ad spot).

For Traffic Ads

You get control over 7 ad spots when you submit your articles to ArticleContentKing. It’s a good idea to use some of them to leverage the traffic you get here to promote your main website directly. You can do this by using a traffic exchange network like an exit exchange or banner exchange.

Viral URL

I like Viral URL a lot, not only do they offer great affiliate link protection, you can actually leverage the traffic your links receive to get more traffic and sales. I do quite well with these ads and recommend them. You can also click up credits by showing impression based ads like this one.

Get Linked from over 16,000 + sites with one click. and earn ad exposures every time someone clicks though your link or signs up.

Exit Explosion

Exit explosion ads appear when only when the surfer moves there mouse towards the close button. When they do, a targeted ad from a website on the network will display. Every time you display and ad, you earn a credit, and your ad gets shown on someone else’s website. This can be an excellent way of leveraging the traffic your articles receive here to promote your own site(s) across the network.

As an upgraded member at Exit Explosion, you get a lot more control over the kind of ad you can display here. You can even run audio and video ads, or include a sign up form directly in your ad. These ads can be very effective. Expecially if you go for the gold membership.

Links Promote

May not be the best use of your ad space, but you can give them a go. They track the impressions and clicks ads on your pages receive and display your ads on the network. You get 80% of the impressions and clicks your ads received displayed on other peoples sites. Only trouble is, they do not give you much control over the appearance of the ads themselves, therefore they look like ads and get ignored by most surfers. My stats show a very low click through rate, but the stats the provide for your ads are quite comprehensive.

Exit Exchange

Exit exchange is a long established site who have a very descriptive name. They offer a service where a full page pop under loads when someone exits your site. This used to be a great way of building traffic, but unfortunately, their ads trigger almost every pop up blocker there is, and a very high percentage of Internet users now have a pop up blocker on their browser. So the amount of actual traffic they can deliver has been diminished. I am currently checking them out and will let you know if it is worth it here. If you want to check them out too, Click here

(Update… I tested exit exchange for a while and it has to be one the the most ineffective ways of leveraging your traffic there is. You can do a lot better than this, but you you want to test them yourself and see how you can turn thousands of visitors into a couple of credits, use the link provided).
