Christie Hefner is famous for being the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Playboy magazine of which the worldwide edition sale exceeds 9 million copies on monthly basis.
With her association with Playboy in the initial days, she was not planning to be there for a long time, but interest in the business environment has taken over her.She sticks to it for the longer period and became the CEO of the magazine, widely read around the world by the men's of all age and races.
She realized it that she has it all which is being required to run a business successfully and girth to face the bankers and institutional investors who are interested in investing in the magazine.

Hugh was a dreamer and obsession for starting his own magazine reached its pinnacle in January 1953, for which he found a printer and a distributor. He got his friends and family to invest in the venture, raising just $8000, including $600 of his own money borrowed from a bank using his family's furniture as collateral. The first issue came up in December 1953, and it carried no cover date because Hefner was not sure when or if he would be able to produce another. But the first issue sold more than 50,000 copies, enough to pay for the paper and printing costs and to finance another issue. In June Hugh married a classmate, Mildred Williams. Their marriage lasted for 10 years and Christie was born in 8th November, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. Christie has brother named David who was born in 1955. When Christie was two her parents were separated. She was moved to Wilmette, Illinois with her brother, when her mother remarried. There she grew up in the suburbs and graduated from New Trier High School. Though she was genius in Math she completed her major in English from Brandeis University. She completed Bachelors of Arts degree in English and American literature in 1974 and became a president in her alma mater in 1978.
She applied for the Advanced Management Program in Harvard Business School but her application was turned downed on the pretext that she was too young.
Though, in later part of her career she got the chance to lecture in the Harvard Business School. Christie was planning to do pursue journalism or law but direction of her life steered to the door step of the Playboy and she started working with it as an intermediate stepWithin 5 years she was moved to the position of Vice President.
In year 1988 Christie Hefner became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for the Playboy Enterprises Inc. In honour of her father she created the Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Award.
She has been the inspiration to the television and in the television situation comedy "Just Shoot Me", the portrayal of the character by Laura San Giacomo is allegedly is on the life of the Christie Hefner and why not TV ape the life history of this famous personality who has been so successful and everybody wants to see the trivia of the celebrities.
