We’ve been bombarded with so many technologies that offer convenience and 100% entertainment. Many inventions were shown to the public and as time goes on, studies were made to improve these inventions. Scientists, physicists, engineers, and such never stop widening the range of efficiency to our technology nowadays. The invention of the television back then is a great breakthrough. But what is latest then was traditional now. We have the satellite TV today that promises more than we thought we’ll have years before. Satellite TV is a television delivered by communication satellites stationed on outerspace used in telecommunications. It presents wide range of channels to many areas in the world. Satellite TV is different compared to cable TV and the usual TV most people have. It has two types namely: TeleVision Receive Only (TVRO) and Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS). TVRO was the first satellite system available for home viewing and needs movable dish to access all the channels. It is frequently referred to as Big Dish TV, C-Band Satellite TV and BUD (Big Ugly Dish). DBS compared to TVRO uses smaller dishes because it works on higher frequencies and capable of transmitting higher power signals. DBS systems are normally referred to as "mini-dish" systems. The difference between these satellite systems is that there are no free channels available on DBS satellites. Satellite televisions are primarily used directly by the viewers, by the local television affiliates and by distributors across the usual cable systems. Before, engineers are the only users of satellite TV but now its domain is the home viewers. Traditional TV requires antenna, cable TV needs cables and satellite TV involves dishes. All these three offer entertainment but what gives the best depends on each consumer’s perception. We can say that satellite TV and cable TV provides better entertainment because we can access a wide range of channels. But we can’t set aside where we came from. What started it all? And still, the large population of the world is using the traditional television. The youth is the most patriots of television. We are more engaged on watching different sports, different variety shows, dramas and many more. The many channels the television company can offer, the more we want it. We can’t stop on browsing and absorbing more.In this case, TV companies compete for the attention of the youth. Television today is also used in teaching. Some schools use it to have the intense attention of their students. As we all know,we learn much on what we see.In this field, using TV as a teaching medium, we can say that satellite TV or cable TV is a good choice than the traditional TV.We can have many options like Discovery Channel,National Geographic Channel and many more. Technology gives humankind a world of convenience and entertainment. And scientists, inventors, physicists, engineers and etc.never stop searching for improvements. No room for mediocrity in the field of technology.Better is not always enough. We always want the best.
