You may already be using this system, it was made popular recently by Ed Dale in his 30 day challenge. The technique of using Google reader to track Google alerts is just as powerful as Ed said it was.
Click here to assess Google Reader Videos By Ed DaleAll you have to do is set Google alerts to deliver results for keywords and keyword phrases that you want to track directly into your Google reader and what you have is a concise overview of what is going on in the market you are monitoring. After a few weeks of checking your reader daily you will quickly see who the players are and which topics are getting the most interest. These 2 things are essential to any successful article marketing campaign.
Chances are you already have a product to sell in the market you are targeting. People usually get to this stage before they sign up to market with articles, but even so, always keep your eye out for new products or services you could add to your product range. Look at what other people are recommending and selling. Do you have a compatible product that could help them sell more? Could you recommend and sell these products yourself as a reseller or affiliate?
Always be on the look out for new products to sell, because when you master the techniques in our Article Marketing Help newsletter, you will be able to sell anything that people want to buy and know where the all customers are.
Every article you submit could be worth thousands of dollars in sales to you over the long term. It's important that you do continual research and keep your focus on the end result you want to achieve... I.E. More subscribers to your list and more repeat, long term sales of the products and services you sell or recommend as an affiliate.
You absolutely do not need your own product to make a handsome living online using article marketing, but you will always, always, always (yes 3 always) need to build your own list. Making direct sales from your articles should never be your major goal. Don't try to sell in your articles, instead, present yourself as someone who knows how to solve problems and leave your readers wanting to know more from you.
Then when they put their hand up and ask for help, HELP THEM! If you do this they will buy from your recommendations without thinking twice about it. As long as they can afford to do so and you are recommending what they want. They may even go willingly tell their friends about you too.
