STOP!! Put your credit card away. In fact lock it in a drawer or even better fill a container with water drop your credit cards into it, then put the container in the deep freeze.
Now when you're tempted by the next brilliantly written sales letter, it will take you a while to thaw out your credit card. By which time you may have come to your senses.
On a more serious note however, please don't do what thousands of people do every day and waste your money on the promise of easy money.
Why have opportunity seekers been sucked in by these marketing "Gurus"?
If you are one of them. Don't blame yourself. Even experienced businessmen, with experience of running companies and businesses still fall into the trap.
These sales letters are written by top class copywriters, who know exactly which emotions to play on, in order to get you to buy. You read about products which will change your life for only $47 or $67 or $97 or $597 or whatever the "Guru" thinks he can charge. They even test market the "Product" at different prices, just to see which price point they can get away with.
Have you ever clicked off one of these pages only to be presented with an instant discount offer? Had you purchased at the outset you would have been unaware of the discount. How ethical is that?
Now the usual pattern and you may recognize yourself here. Is to purchase one product then another, jumping from one great idea to the next big thing as the pre launch buzz of the next big product launch gathers pace and the e mails informing you to act quickly or miss out on the life changing opportunity which will double in price in 20 minutes time.
The psychology employed by these copywriters appeal to all our basic instincts and it works a treat.
These guys are brilliant at what they do. Extracting money from vulnerable, desperate, unhappy, people. Selling the dream of working from home or earning a fortune whilst sitting on the beach with a Pina Colada.
Come on!!! Wake up!! Smell the coffee!!
Do you really think anyone is going to give you their secret to earning a fortune for $47?
You know when they boast of their enormous wealth the flash houses, Ferrari etc etc it's all been built on your money. They then claim to be about to reveal all their secrets to you because "they want to give something back" yeh right....and all for a few dollars. Now they've got even more devious methods "Membership Sites". They can get your money every month! How stupid are we? Very, it would seem judging by the sales figures.
Now off to the freezer with those credit cards.
