This park is an erstwhile hunting ground of the Maharajas. The wild animals of the park are Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger. A good population of Sambar, Chitel, Nilgai, Chausingha, Wild Boar and Langur are also found in this park. Rhesus Monkeys are found in large numbers around Talvriksh. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is one of the most renowned bird sanctuaries in the world. Bharatpur birdlife is very rich. Officially known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park, this is home to various species of aquatic birds. One will sure spot here Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds.
