Your brain is your most important organ. While other organs can be lost, replaced or bypassed, your brain cannot. Loss of the ability of the brain severely restricts quality of life. It can affect your moods, memory, concentration, libido and much much more.

Many of us know about proper nutrition. We tend to focus on foods and supplements that are know to support various activities of the body and the associated organs. For instance there is a huge demand for products that clean the colon or that burn fat. There are products that support heart function or athletic performance. All of these have their place. But the most important organ, the one with the most impact is the brain.

In my practice of over 20 years of treating people, no other single test or treatment program has had such a profound effect as testing brain neurotransmitters and then treating what we find.

Brain neurochemistry is intimately linked to the endocrine glands and hormones. So balancing hormones with bio identical hormones is often linked to balancing brain chemistry.

Over the years we have seen three major groups of patients that benefit most from this type of work

  1. ADD, ADHD and Autism
  2. Fatigue, Exhaustion and Burnout
  3. Depression or Anxiety

When applying the results from laboratory testing to these patients we find excellent help in restoring and maintaining levels of vitality and energy. Sort of like recharging a battery. As we age the battery gets run down. By targeting our treatment plans we are able to help the body to recharge which in turn can give you a renewed lease on life.

Along with renewed energy comes improvements in the ability to focus, remember and pay attention. A great help with the Spectrum disorders.

Additionally , rather then using psychotropic drugs and the wide range of unwanted and unhealthy side effects, we find we can treat depression and anxiety by balancing brain chemistry in a natural way.

Neurotransmitter Testing

Forrest Health Online offers at home clinical testing, interpretation and natural vitamin, herbal and homeopathic therapies for neurotransmitter imbalances and deficiencies.

What are Neurotransmitters?

Neurotransmitters are naturally occurring chemicals within the brain that relay signals between the nerve cells and are required for proper brain and body function.

A proper balance of neurotransmitter levels helps achieve optimal health.

Neurotransmitter imbalances have been linked to:

  • Attention issues (lack of focus and motivation, poor concentration, and ADD)
  • Learning difficulties and development delays (young children)
  • Hyperactivity and ADHD for both children and adults
  • Sleeping problems (fatigue, problems falling asleep, tossing and turning, etc.)
  • Menopause related issues (hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats)
  • PMS and birth control related issues (mood swings, aggressiveness, irritability, sadness, lack of libido)
  • Weight issues and appetite control (cravings, overwhelming hunger, etc.)
  • Depression (sadness, lack of motivation, mood swings, etc.)
  • Migraine Headaches
  • Anxiety (irritability, nervousness, obsessive-compulsive, insecurity, racing thoughts, restlessness)
  • Libido (lack of sex drive for women and men, orgasm issues, erectile dysfunction, etc.)

Other Conditions Include:

• Depression • Anxiety • Stress
• Despair • Hopelessness • Fear
• Loss of zest for life • Pessimism • Poor Concentration
• Insomnia • Apathy • Mental Focus
• Boredom • Exhausted • Over-eating
• Fatigue • Irritable • General Malaise
• Sensitive • Panic Attacks • Chronic Fatigue

If you are suffering from these or similar complaints it may be that your neurochemistry could use a little help.

We recommend doing a simple at home test panels to see where the deficiencies or imbalances lie. A personal supplement program can then be formulated.
