Before going for buying a used car do proper review of the situation. Think about how much you can spend on the car. And how much the maintenance with cost to you. And of course look for the reasons you want to buy a used car instead of a new on.

If you want to save money then go for a small car as it will be both cheaper and less expensive to maintain. A bigger car will be costly to own. Maintenance cost is very much important thing to remember. Make sure that you buy a better shaped car. Don't buy a car that has been used too much. Owning that kind of car will get you in trouble as it will create more problems for you in the long run. Decide what car suits your lifestyle and image the best. Since you will probably own and use the same car for many more years, you need to anticipate future needs. Before finalizing a certain car talk to your friends and member of your family about what car to buy.

Benefits of buying a Used Car:
In fact used cars have many benefits compared to a new car. If you want to buy a can that does not cost you too much then buying a used car is a good idea. You can sell the used car after using it for some time and get some of your money back. Thus you save money. It is a well known fact that any car that is bought new will get devalued with the process of time. Before going to buy any car make sure that it meets you exact needs.

Used cars can be the smartest way to go sometimes. If you are not going to finance the used car, you will only have to get liability insurance which is much cheaper than full coverage which is required when financing any car. Another bonus is that a used car won't have fees attached to the price like a new car would.

Precautions:
Buying a used car is more complicated than buying a new one. There are concerns about what may be breaking or already been fixed. Another concern with buying a used car is the warranty. Over half of the used cars today are being sold "as is". Buying an "as is" car is very risky - once you hand over that money and sign your name on the dotted line, that car is your problem no matter what happens. Before going for buying a used car do proper review of the situation. Always have a mechanic check the car. The test-drive is, of course, an essential part of the prw realistic that deal a really is? Get the valuation of the car done from a bank's valuator. Look for signs of an accident, such as dents or new paint or chrome. When buying a used car, consumers should protect themselves by ensuring there are no outstanding liens against the car Always check the serial number on the Vehicle Registration card. Make sure it corresponds to the number on the car.

Keep noting down any shortcomings you have noticed while inspecting and test driving the vehicle. Every detail is worth a reasonable discount. Proceed with price negotiations. Point out the shortcomings. Put a value to each defect and accordingly negotiate the price.
