Stress is a term used to relate any condition of the body that damages the body or harms or causes death of few or many of the cells. Due to this impaired condition of the cells the body is not able to cope up with its regular routine activities thereby disturbing the mental balance of the mind.

Regular physical exercises are very useful in fighting against stress. Amongst these exercises, brisk walking is very beneficial for general health and mental relaxation and can work best in coping up with stress.
Brisk walking is the most simple and safest exercise. Walking for about 35 to 45 minutes or so daily works as a best tranquilizer. Taking a brisk walk early in the morning is more beneficial as the body receives natural oxygen from the atmosphere and this serves to be a major defending factor in fighting against various diseases and ailments.
After a day of strenuous hard work, we come home stressful and perform our daily routine activities. We don't get much time for physical exercises or other form of aerobics as there is a burden of our daily tasks. Everything takes place at a rapid phase in our daily life. When we get up early and go out for a morning walk we get out of our stressful world for that very specific time period.
Walking relaxes both the body muscles and soothes the nerves. A brisk walk improves the functioning of the circulatory organs and ensures proper supply of blood to the brain. This gives an energizing power to the mind. Due to this the brain experiences a new wave of health, which increases its resistance in coping up with stress. Decision making and thinking power is increased as all the nerve cells improve their capability.
Brisk walking is also very beneficial for the digestive system. Stress may also arise due to various physical problems such as unhealthy stomach, irregular bowel movements, diseases of the colons and varicose veins. All these diseases can be avoided if one makes up the habit of walking daily.
Another benefit of brisk walking is that it not only increases our physical potency but also our emotional and mental potencies. While walking we interact with new people, share our thoughts and give our views which in itself are a great stress reliever. Walking provides a platform for social interaction among various groups of people and exchange of their views, opinions and thoughts.
Thus we can conclude that brisk walking is the simplest exercise which not only rejuvenates the body and mind with new energy but also increases its vitality and stamina in fighting against various diseases. This automatically improves the resistance power of the body and works as a best stress reliever.
