I think some of the best sales persons are children, just think of all things they try to sell us on or try to convince us of something. Think of all reasons they can come up with especially when they want something. I really believe this because they have not learned to stop where we think they should stop, a point where the better sales persons continue and average person stops so they do not have to hear more rejects. I remember a few years ago my youngest granddaughter had her tonsils removed early that week and after she came home I was going to the store to buy her some Popsicles for her throat.

Well she want to come with and pick out the flavors she would like to have. I found some generic plain old clear plastic Popsicles that had an assortment of flavors and I thought that would be a safe pick. Well my granddaughter had found a large package of name brand Popsicles that had pictures and bright colors all over the plastic covers, she started on a sales pitch of how the doctor had told her that one's she pick were the only Popsicles that would work on her throat. She was so sincere in her sales pitch that I had to hold in my laugh, but I did put away the generic Popsicles and got the ones, the doctor had ordered.

I glad that as an affiliate marketer I would not be hearing any rejections, but I would need a much different set of skills than as a Realtor. I was hoping to be able to use a lot of the skills and resources I already had and be able to put them to work. As a Realtor, I could hear their objections and then countered the objection and you always had a way to measure how well you were doing. As a affiliate marketer where I do most of my work through writing, I am still trying to learning how to the measure the effectiveness of my ads. The lack of large numbers of potential customers logging on to my website are like no's to me. I have discovered that it does not matter whether you use SEO or PPC, the system used by the Internet (page ranking) makes it so it will take three or four months (no matter what those guru's say) before you are in any kind of position to start seeing any real money coming in.

I always had liked the reaction from the first yes. Now you are starting to gain some confidence, you feel real good about yourself, and now you know that it is going to be worth the effort and it will work. OK, So now once you are done celebrating your first yes, you need to be sure the work and strategy is also geared for long term results. If your system does not include long term strategy, where a lot more of these yes's will be following, it will be a long time before you start making any money.
