Soon after its launch in the Pakistani automobile business around three decades ago, Honda suddenly grew to the top and soon controlled the categories it was competing in. The Honda Accord and Civic were the initial two models launched to the middle and high-end categories of the automotive business and gave substantially more in terms of class, quality and luxury as opposed to what other car companies were offering in those days.
During the time Honda was launched, the Pakistani vehicle business was lead by Toyota, which had a few accepted models like the Crown, Corona, Mark II and Corolla available for separate consumer groups. Other manufacturers like Mazda, Suzuki and Nissan had limited number of models as well but failed noticeably in terms of sales and loyalty. These makes had features that were found in all makes in their category and gave little in terms of extra benefits.
After the acceptance of Honda in Pakistan, buyers could get convenience and reliability at approximately the same rates. The Honda Accord and Civic both had superior designs and a more unconventional appearance that were substantially different to the shapes existing in the industry. Trims and features like extra reading lamps and powered steering made these cars very enticing for all individuals who could afford them. Businesses that once provided Toyota for their senior employees were now hurrying to procure Honda cars.
Honda has at all times been a well ahead of the competition in terms of its superior exterior and interior engineering. Each of its model has seen additions in features and trims and superb design quality. The interior was more roomy proving to be more relaxing for for traveling on highways and city roads. To satisfy each of the beneficial groups while up holding Honda's quality and high-class image, Honda launched the City, with a smaller engine size close to that of the lower end Corollas and commenced local manufacturing to get a better grip on price control.
The outstanding performance and handling of the vehicles were far better.. The engines were magnificently engineered with excellent fuel usage, with each model giving the feel of a more spacious car than its class. Time showed Honda to be extremely dependable and practically maintenance free aside from the basic oil change and fuel top up making them highly sought-after used cars as well. Although originally the resale rate of a Honda was worse compared to that of a Toyota, the growth in demand of used Civics and Citys soon made prices jump substantially.
Over time Honda has inadvertently managed to manufacture vehicles that are a well ahead of the competition. It's inauguration of a two-tiered interior control panel, large windshields, superior performing engines and superb designs have allowed Honda hold it's leadership over the years. The detailed and extremely dependable manufacturing has made them the preferred choice for used car buyers. Even with the introduction of cars by numerous other companies, Honda it seems will not be giving up its dominant place for a considerable number of years.
