Your "purpose" is best stated as knowing what you want to do. You have to know what you want and how you are going to get it. Your plans should start with having an endpoint in mind. It's like taking a journey, without a destination you can't plan the trip!
Napoleon Hill called knowing what you want, "definiteness of purpose". He said it makes us persistent, and that having a definiteness of purpose is the first step on the road to success.
It is difficult to have achievement and personal success if you do not understand your purpose. If you have not done it already, stop what you are doing and write out your purpose. And be sure of it! Yes you can be flexible in the future if needed, but let the next step in your life be to define what you want to do.
Do not confuse your purpose with your goals and your plan of work. Your purpose is what you want to do, your goals and your plan of work help you get there. They are the roadmap and your purpose is your destination.
When you write out your purpose make sure you clearly understand it. If you do not have clarity of thought on what you want, how will those people involved with you in your personal growth know how to help you achieve your purpose? You are going to need a group of people who mentor you and encourage you on to success, so make sure you can clearly articulate your purpose to them so they can help you reach your dreams.
Once you have your purpose clearly stated, start reading it every day. Do not forget your purpose. If you lose sight of your purpose you will have lost sight of your destination. If you lose sight of your destination, it will be difficult to get where you want to go in life!
You will find it much easier to have personal growth and great success if you "know that you know" what you want to do! State your purpose now!
