I wanted to talk to you about singing and whether you are good enough to become one. Singing today is much more popular than ever before because of shows like American Idol. People are just lining up to try and win. There are a lot of talented people out there. There are a lot that really have no talent. I'm sure you've seen a mix of people that think they're awesome, but really are horrible singers. I guess the real question to ask yourself is whether talent is something you're born with or is something that you can learn. I believe it is something that can be learned.

The assumption held by most people is that you have to be a prodigy and that is true for a lot of singers. You can turn on your favorite album and the singer might be a prodigy. What you don't often see is that all these people have trainers and worked hard their entire life to achieve their voice. That should tell you that this can learned. You don't have to be great, but you can learn to be great. There are many places to start.

I think the best way to go is to get the help of a teacher. This is like a personal trainer for singing and they do a pretty job. They'll work on your problems and help enhance your good qualities. They're a pricy thing to get, but they do produce results. There are cheaper ways to work with singing teachers, with video courses and things like that.
