One of the greatest ways you can have fun on the streets without necessarily emptying out both your wallet and your bank account is to buy a moped scooter. In the past, these scooters have been used mainly by teenagers for going to school, college, a friend's house or going back home. Often, you can also see a lot of these teenagers admiring the moped of another person outside the coffee shops or restaurants. Among these scooters, the most popular models which are being used are the Vespa, Piaggio, Lambretta and the smaller models which have been manufactured by Honda.

However, this trend is now starting to reach the more mature clientele. This might probably be because of the rise in gas prices as well as the uncontrollable heavy traffic. Because now, more and more commuters are considering buying their own scooters so they can get around time safely, comfortably, and at anytime they want.

Because of this growing consumer number, the companies which manufacture these scooters have begun to recognize the demand and are now producing models with higher specifications to draw in the mature clientele into their direction. Among these companies is Honda who has been able to produce a more stunning range of the higher powered scooters like their Silver Wing. The Silver Wng has a sleek and stylesh design which has a twin engine which is smooth liquid cooled and has the acclaimed transmission called Honda v-matic. Two people are capable of sitting on the Silver Wing as well as several storage space for stowing a brief case and a spare helmet.

If you would like a smaller engine but the same comfort as the Silver Wing, the Honda Reflex is another great choice. This moped has been built for several rides from country roads, city streets and even the long stretches of highway. It even has a smooth 249cc engine, comfortable two seater, and automatic transmission which can take you anywhere you want to.

Buying your own moped is a much better and cheaper alternative to buying a car. If you cannot afford to buy a car yet as well as to pay the expensive gas prices and maintaining it, you can settle with a moped scooter instead. By doing so, you can save a lot of money on gas and insurance premiums. One full tank will be enough to pay for a month's worth of commuting needs. In addition, you can even have the comfort of being able to park the vehicle anywhere you want.
