Fashion - by its very definition - is something that's constantly changing. What's hot one year, might not be the next year, and although the fashion conscious will always have their finger on the fashion pulse, not everyone will always be on the ball with the latest trends.

Of course, it's possible to go too far in the casual direction, where members of staff begin showing up in baggy trousers and flip-flops. Jeans are especially smart when worn with a smart shirt and casual shoes. So there's definitely a happy medium between turning up to the office in your Sunday best and wearing the worst your wardrobe has to offer, and jeans have a big part to play in 21st century smart-casual office attire.
