Monopoly game is the most famous and most successful board game in worldwide. It has been attracted the people who like to dominate the virtual market in conception of monopoly the economic. It's a published board game by Parker Brothers, which is the contributory of Hasbro. Monopoly game has proved that there are 485 million of players all around the world.

Charles Darrow, the man who patented this Monopoly game in 1935. Referring from Hasbro, the number of Monopoly players in the world is around 750 million people who enjoying this game, manage to win a title of "The Most Played Board Game in the World (Commercial)". The mascot of this Monopoly game symbolic a man with mustache who wear a monocle and morning dress. It has been given a name Rich Uncle Pennybags, or often being called as Mr. Monopoly.

In 1904, a Quaker woman who named Elizabeth (Lizzie) J. Magie Philips, formed a game which she hoped to describe the horrific aspects of private monopolies in a concentrating land. The game was named as "The Landlord's Game" was officially launched after a few years. It was attracted by some interested players of this kind of game and it made them to redesign and redeveloped the similar games. In the result, Lizzie revised her game into a brand new edition and patented it in 1904. Eventually, a board game which named Monopoly was designed and launched in 1935 which similar to the Parker Brothers and its parent companies version all over 20th and 21st century. It was created by Charles Todd but it was sold to Parker Brothers by Charles Darrow.

During the development of Monopoly game, there was a special edition named "World War II Prisoners of War" created in 1941 by John Waddington Ltd, a licensed game producer in U.S.. The International Red Cross distributed those hidden objects such as maps, money and other useful stuffs for escaping to prisoners.

In 1974, "The Monopoly Book of Strategy and Tactics of the World's Most Popular Game" which produced by Maxine Brady, stated that the history of the game had been lost. The Monopoly game's idea was created exclusively by Charles Darrow was becoming famous. This statement also included in the game's instructions too.

Due to the duration of the court's processes and also the appeals, this case was not been settled until mid of 1980s. As the result, the game's name is remained as Parker Brothers' registered trademark, as well as its particular aspect of design. Hasbro, which is the parent company of Parker Brothers, official recognized the character of Charles Darrow in the game development. "The Billion Dollar Monopoly Swindle" which later republished as "Monopolygate" was published by Anspach stated the history and development of this game.
