Many working mothers are finding it rough out there in the world of the employed. Jobs aren't all that easy to find to begin with, then finding one that pays well is nearly impossible without that college degree. Working moms know that child care costs plus the gas it takes to get to work take a big bite out of that puny pay check she manages to take home. Many times it costs less to simply stay home. But they discover that having at least two incomes is necessary for families to survive.

Moms are finding the help they need to better their education through Obama's Scholarships for Moms Program. They can return to school and get that degree with the help from the available grant money. Qualifying for some of this money is easy enough. Any local college or university should have the application to fill out. Even many online schools participate in scholarships for moms or similar programs. There are many grant programs out there but the scholarships for moms is aimed directly toward giving working mothers the financial assistance they need to complete their education, so they can find work they like with the good pay check they deserve.

Also known as Pell Grants, this money is available to those who qualify and is renewable every year that working mom remains in school. The grant money may amount to as much as ten thousand dollars each year, enough to cover most, if not all, of the tuition costs plus books and other expenses incurred in obtaining that degree.

Women are encouraged to apply for the scholarships for mom grant money as well as others as they come available. The more that are applied for the better chances of qualifying, plus more than one can prove very useful. This money is not a loan, and does not need to be paid back, as student loans require.
