President Obama is one of those leaders who envisions a brighter future for the nation. He believes that to strive forward, education is as important as the other basic requirements of life. An uneducated man's life is as bleak as the night, with just rare possibilities of shining positive. The purpose of education remains invalid as long as there are no means to fulfill it. Obama's administration has struck the right cord by declaring and providing numerous grants and financial aids. The target category is mainly the mothers and now there are varied scholarships for mothers provided by Obama's administration.

Scholarships and grants are for those who are in acute need to pursue their studies. A low-income household of a mother can never encourage her to return to college. The Federal Government understands this situation and has set apart approx. $30 billion for federal grants and $40 billion for state grants and scholarships. Also, there is a higher education tax credit available. The American Opportunity Tax Credit program ensures that the initial $4,000 fee for higher education is free for most of the Americans.

The best advantage of the scholarships offered by Obama's administration is that, once the scholarship is approved, the complete expense of the education is sponsored by the government, which is really a huge relief to the mothers who really intend to return to schools and colleges.

The Federal government wants to reach out to the masses through the Pell grants for its Scholarships for Mom program. Pell grants are initiated by the FAFSA which is an online application centre and helps approve financial aid to the applicants based on their previous year's tax payments. Pell grants are the widely sought after financial aid for mothers hoping to return to schools and colleges. Under Obama's administration, the Pell grants for the low-income groups have been incremented from $4010 to $5100.

President Obama has also challenged colleges, universities and the private sector to come forward and join hands towards this basic cause. Private lenders can also try to pull in the weight and can offer to assist by pooling in their share for at least 3 million scholarships which would be approx. around $16 billion.

A mother faces a bumpy road, almost throughout her life. Scholarships for mothers by Obama's administration is a sincere attempt on the part of the government, broadcasting the message that mothers are always special and regardless of the age, they also have the right to study and live a content life by securing their future as well as their family's.
