Going to Disney World with your family is an experience of many ups and downs, no pun intended. If you are planning to go on a Disney World vacation, then there are so many things you can do in order to save you and your family's time, and money. Actually, the best thing to do is get a Disney World vacation guide from someone who knows the industry very well, but we will get to that in a little bit.

Most people make the same common mistakes repeatedly, and their vacation suffers for it. In order to get you up to speed a little bit on the latest tips on Disney World vacations. The most common blunders are:

Everything But The Kitchen Sink

This is really common. To go away for 7 days, Mom needs 12 suitcases, 50 outfits, 80 pairs of shoes (not 60 shoes, 80 PAIRS!), and every possible item of make-up she has ever bought. Dad needs to pack every electronic gadget ever invented since the Renaissance, not to mention 400 batteries, 5 maps, 3 suitcases, you get the point. The reason you left your home for a vacation is so that you and your family could forget about your daily routine for a bit, but bringing your entire house with you on vacation makes you feel like you never left. Bring what you need, and a few extras. Have fun while it lasts, because soon it is back to work.

Don't Budget Well

Another real common mistake families make during their Disney World vacation is not sticking to their budget well enough. There is nothing like having to go home from vacation early because you ran out of money. Do not let it happen. Set aside a certain amount of money for each day and stick to it. What people do not realize is that 99% of the commerce in the Disney World area is much overpriced. A hot dog, fries, and a Coke will cost you about $15.00. Outrageous! Who wants to blow all their money on overpriced food? Instead, see if you can bring as much food and snacks with you instead of having to buy them at every turn. Do not get the "longshot" mentality either, if something you want to buy is over budget; do not say that you will make it up later, because you will not, plain and simple. The long shot is not "due" and you will not "pay it back later". Stick to your guns.

Two For The Matinee

Tickets. No way around it, you have to get them. Does this mean you have to pay regular price? No, definitely not, there are all kinds of ways to get Disney World vacation tickets at great prices. Online and offline. Do your research as early as possible before going on the trip, the more you look the better deal you will find. Overall, there are countless things you can do in order to save a ton of money on your next Disney World vacation. You just have to know where to look, and how to go about it.
