When performing your daily routine, it is easy to get overwhelmed when thinking about all the different things that are left to do. Sure, posting articles and bookmarks is fun at first, but then it can become a drag. It is at that point where you might start to neglect little things like adding a long tail keyword, or setting up a blog without collecting email addresses. These little things can add up to big things, but you would never know it because it is impossible to miss money you never had, right?

Instead of piping out eight articles today, do one or two really awesome ones. You know what "awesome articles" are; those are the ones that you read when you wanted to get into the niche internet marketing business. They are the articles that hungry entrepreneurs download, and print out so they can read it when they use the restroom. Those are the articles that will pay your bills, because your readers will surely be interested in anything you recommend after reading your article multiple times. The idea behind this whole maximizing profit mentality is to not do anything 50%. Would you be happy with 50% of your next paycheck? Of course not. Successful people do not do anything half-effort, they wouldn't be successful if they did.

Keyword research is another common area where you might want to cut corners a bit. Yes, you are aware of the fact that keyword research is important when putting together your articles and blog posts. So you look up different phrases and try to find a few that have decent search volume but not so many results when searched for. Some think that this is enough, but you can do more and you know it. Have you invested in a decent keyword research program? If you make any kind of a decent income from affiliate marketing, there is no reason for you not to invest a little money in yourself. The dividends will greatly outweigh the expense. Free tools are good, but the keyword research software available today can give you a lot of statistical information on keyword trends, buying ratios, click through trends, and many other metrics that you cannot get with the free tools. Proper keyword usage can drastically improve your earnings; don't neglect this very vital part of your marketing efforts.

There is another great way to maximize your marketing efforts: scripts. Scripts enable one person to perform the same amount of tasks that a small office full of workers can. If you are not utilizing scripts with your websites, then you are giving away your time, and time is money. The first reason everyone has for not using scripts is, "I don't know how to use that stuff!" That is not a good enough reason, because there are so many pre-written scripts out there which you can download for free. They come with basic installation instructions and even if you can't install them, nine times out of ten your web hosting company will do it for you for nothing! The most popular scripts are PHP and Perl scripts. They can automate all the menial tasks that eat up your free time every day. There are posters, auto responders, content rewriters, email list managers, content management systems, and all kinds of other scripts. Do yourself a favor and see how you can incorporate scripts into your daily routine.
