The best thing about niche web traffic is that you already know they are interested in your niche. This drastically improves the performance of any PPC and contextual advertising campaigns you use. One way to further qualify that traffic is to give away a free information product, such as an ebook or special report. In that free product you can place links to other websites you own, other products you are selling, or even sell advertising space inside that free product to other companies in your niche.

One method that works great is to only place links and ads to more expensive products in your free ebook or special report. Why? More expensive products and subscriptions call for a bigger commitment and decision than less expensive ones. True, some buy only on impulse, but there are plenty of others that do not. They need to be sold, convinced of the benefit your product offers. Nothing does that better than a fifteen-page free ebook or five-page special report. Most car salespeople would kill to have their customer's undivided attention for the amount of time it takes to read through a free ebook. That is the best thing about written pitches; the customer cannot interrupt, or object to the things you say.

This highlights the importance of strong sales copy. If you are not good at persuasive writing, then do yourself a huge favor and hire a ghostwriter to do it for you. Most freelance writers have very affordable rates. This is the one area of your niche internet marketing strategy where you do not want to go the cheap route. Spend a little extra to get the best ad copy you can get, it will pay for itself a hundred times over if you use it correctly. If you do have good writing skills, then you should be spending hour after hour typing up ebooks and special reports that you can litter your sites and the rest of the web with. Internet marketing, in general, is a numbers game. Find what works, rinse and repeat.

If you want to give your free information product more exposure than just on your website, there are additional methods you can use, some free and some not. Press releases are an excellent option for short special reports. There are sites that will publish your press release for nothing, but they will plaster the page with a million ads. You can see some good traffic from it though nonetheless. A few of the good press release websites have a tiered membership system that you can join, and for a monthly fee they will publish your press release with either limited or no ads of their own, give you more link options for your own stuff, and even distribute your release to other syndicates. Again, if you can write good copy, you could do very well with press releases.

Another option worth checking out is the several document sharing network websites popping up on the web. They are free to join, and then you just upload all kinds of media from articles to videos and pictures. All of these documents are indexed by the major search engines, which means free backlinks to your pages or even direct links to your products through the articles or reports you upload to the site. The best way to use these is to upload as many docs as you can on a daily basis, do a certain many each day, even if the documents are only a couple of paragraphs; as long as they get indexed then you will benefit. These are but a few ways to get exposure using free information; the sky, and your imagination are the limit.
