President Obama's stimulus package has a section that increases the amount of money that moms are able to receive to pursue their higher education and receive their degree that they've been longing for. The Scholarships for Moms is available to all moms; working, single, married, and non-working mothers.
If a mom has been considering a college education, to help qualify them for a better paying job, then this is a good time to get started. The scholarship is actually the Federal Pell Grant which President Obama has instated when he was elected into office. It assists low income students and now President Obama's focus is on moms. This grant has increased and with the new amount of money being provided, a mom can receive their education for little, if any of their own money. The current amount of money that a person may receive is almost $10,000 per school year. The amount will continually increase over the next three years.
There are a lot of benefits to be had when you go to school and complete a degree program. Some of which are; higher-paying jobs, benefits, better working conditions and hours, better providing for a family including a better home and vacations.
Getting a scholarship isn't as hard as one might think. These particular grants are paid out to lower-income families. A single mother especially can easily fall into that group. The process to go about receiving this grant is simple; all a person has to do is determine the path you want your studies to take, select a college, visit the financial aid office, fill out the application, and begin with your classes.
Because it is a grant, anyone that receives this award will never be expected to pay this money back. It is for keeps, to use as the person needs to help pay for any living or college expenses while they are in school.
