If getting back with your ex is uppermost in your mind nowadays, then possibly you should be doing something about it. Whatever you do, don't get involved in more disagreements once you have split up. Your relationship will be damaged further and your ex will think that they made exactly the right choice when they left you.

Remember that your ex left you for a reason. You may not think it's a good one, but obviously they do. Don't harass your ex with phone calls, texts or emails. This will only make them more upset with you.

An apology never hurts. If you were in the wrong, then deep down you know it. Making a humble apology to your ex will at least let them know that you have the guts to face them and that you're sorry for what you did. It depends on what that was as to whether the apology will be accepted, but at least you will have tried.

Tell your ex that you want to get back with them. After all, they don't have second sight and they may think that you were quite happy that they left. You need to make it quite clear that you didn't want your relationship to end and that you definitely want to get back with them.
