If losing weight quickly, is something that you are interested in, then the important thing is to go about it safely, as opposed to being dumb! You don’t need me to tell you that you do not want your health to suffer for the sake of losing a quick few inches from your waist.

With that said, quick weight loss is something that can be achieved but you do have to go about it sensibly. Did you know that your rate of metabolism can have a large impact on how much, and how quickly you can shed those pounds? People with a slow metabolism have a more difficult time getting rid of weight than those with a faster metab

The most common causes of being over weight is eating too much of the wrong kinds of foods and not getting enough exercise. If loosing weight quickly is important to you because a special event is imminent then the first thing you need to do is to start drinking more water on a daily basis.

You should aim to consume about six to eight full glasses of water a day. In particular you should always start each morning with a glass of plain water. This helps to jumpstart your natural metabolic rate. Water is not only good for helping people to lose weight but it is good for your body overall.

Eat as much organic food as possible. I always start my day with an apple, orange, banana, plain yogurt, raw honey and some whole grain cereal. You should also try to eat plenty of other metabolic enhancing foods as often as possible include: peppers, tomatoes, carrots, and wild smoked salmon. Quick weight loss can only be accomplished safely if you eat a healthy balanced diet.

You should always eat your final meal of the day approximately four to five hours before you retire for the evening so the food has time to digest properly and will not just sit there in your stomach, or even worse, be saved as stored fat!

Exercise like walking should be incorporated into your daily schedule. You do not have to walk as if you are trying to win a marathon race but if you are fit enough try and make it a brisk non-stop walk. If you are out of condition then start with a 10 - 20 minute walk every day and then try to work up to jogging for about 30- 45 minutes.

If you really want to speed-up your weight loss then getting rid of junk and fast food from your diet will be very beneficial for you. Fast foods are fried fatty, and very salty. These all spells bad news for anyone trying to get rid of excess body fat. At the same time, stop drinking soft drinks like soda’s and cordials and drink plain water instead. Soft drinks are loaded with nothing but empty useless calories (150 empty calories to be precise) and have absolutely no nutritional value to the human body. Soft drinks such as those already mentioned can pack on an average of 16 to 18 unnecessary pounds a year.

Rapid weight loss can only take place if you are diligent in your eating and consistent in your exercise routines.
