 Motorsports is the combination of sports which primarily involve the use of motorized vehicles. Motorsports consists of all forms of motor racing as well as non-racing motorized sports. In addition to motor racing, there are many other forms of motorsports which don't involve racing. There are various types of motorsports.

In single-seater , where wheels are not covered, and the cars often have aerofoil wings front and rear to produce down force and enhance adhesion to the track. GP2 is another major international single-seater car racing series. This was formerly known as Formula 3000 and Formula Two. In Asia Regional series include Formula Nippon and Formula V6, Formula Renault 3.5

In international car racing and at most national championship levels involves two kinds of homologated road legal production based car; Group N Production cars and more modified Group A cars.  Racing Cars compete on (closed) public roads or off-road areas run on a point-to-point format where participants and their co-drivers "rally" to a set of points, leaving in regular intervals from start points.
 
Drag racing involves the objective to complete a given straight-line distance, from a standing start, ahead of a vehicle in a parallel lane. Traditionally this distance is 400 mile, though 200 mile has become popular since the 1990s. Depending on the class of racing, the racing cars may or may not be given the signal to start at the same time, Vehicles range from the ordinary car to the purpose-built racing car. Similarly speeds and elapsed time differ from class to class.
 
The sport of Motorcycle trials is another non-speed event on specialized motorcycles, which is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, though there are participants around the globe. Trial motorcycles are extremely lightweight and distinctive in nature, they are designed to be ridden standing up and have suspension travel that is short, relative to enduro motorcycle or a motocross.
 
Road racing is the racing of motorcycles can take place either on purpose-built racing circuits or on closed public roads. On the other hand, premier category of motorcycle road racing involves Grand Prix motorcycle racing.  This is classified into three distinct categories: 125 cc, 250 cc and 800 cc MotoGP. Superbike racing is a category of motorcycle road racing that includes modified production motorcycles. Superbike racing motorcycles requires four stroke engines of between 800 cc and 1200 cc for twins, and between 750 cc and 1000 cc for four cylinder machines.
 
Supersport racing is another prominent category of motorcycle road racing that refers to modified production motorcycles. Eligiblitly for Supersport racing depends on motorcycle which has a four-stroke engine of between 400 and 600 cc for four-cylinder machines.
