In order to succeed in web page optimization and thus get high page ranking on search engines, you need to constantly update your web content. Even as you post new content you need not forget to work on your old pages. Periodically, revisit your old pages and update them with small changes. Though it is imperative to note that the more extensive the changes the more your site page optimization thus higher page ranking.
Images are important in making your site look appealing and inviting. However, you should always link them with text links. This is mainly because people click on these images. You can link your pictures to other pages on your site. This will not only improve in web page optimizing but it will also help in retaining visitors and search engines picking your images for listing.
Checking the status of your outbound links also plays a major role in website page optimization. This is because the sites you are linking to should be good in terms of ranking. Therefore, if you realize that some of your external links have poor page rankings it is recommended you remove them. By doing so you will maintain you page credibility at all times thus creating more traffic.
Linking your pages with related content on a site like DMOZ improves your traffic flow. Only make sure that you post your site in the right category so as to be listed. Getting listed on such directories help in web page optimization since you will also be listed on search engines like Yahoo.
All said and done, generating content is the best strategy of generating targeted traffic to your blog or website. It is because of this that I agree with Online Marketing guruss that "Content is King" when it comes to website page optimization. Some may claim that content generation is a difficult task but the fail to see the long term benefits.
