Jon Benson is a man who knows what it is like to suffer from obesity. Having been through the weight battle himself and won, he has now put his time and effort into creating the Every Other Day Diet book so that he can share his successful plan that got his life back on track.
The Three Primary Plans
With this diet program there are three primary plans outlined for achieving the best results. Let’s take a closer look at each of these phases.
1. Primer Plan – this is the first and most flexible plan and during this phase you can eat basically what you want every other day. It is recommended that you begin with this plan and as you can eat what you want every other day, it doesn’t feel so much like you are dieting. As a result it helps you to stay motivated with sticking to the diet. This plan is a calorie shifting plan which keeps your metabolism working at its best and keeps you losing weight long term.
2. Lifestyle Plan – this phase is recommended after the Primer plan and once you are at a reasonable weight that you are happy with. During this phase you have two feed days a week where you can eat whatever you want during those two days.
3. Extreme Plan – this third plan is the most extreme and strictest of the three and is recommended for athletes and bodybuilders.
Other Criteria for Succesful Weight Loss
No weight loss plan will be successful without the following three criteria and Jon does need his weight loss students to follow the following three guidelines for success.
1. Dedication – dedication and determination are needed to successfully lose weight and reach your goal weight.
2. Exercise – Jon isn’t asking you to become a super athlete but it is important that you incorporate some exercise into your life.
3. Be realistic – the quickest way to losing motivation with a diet is to set your goals to high. By having impossible goals you just become upset when you don’t achieve them, so don’t set unrealistic goals. You can’t expect to be thin overnight, weight loss takes time.
The Every Other Day Diet is a really good program for achieving weight loss. If you can have dedication, be realistic, incorporate some exercise and follow the plans listed within the program, then there is no reason why you can’t lose weight successfully with this diet plan.
