It has become increasingly clear to most managers that a well designed wellness/fitness program with a strong nutritional and fitness lifestyle emphasis will directly meet this need. Management's goals for a productive wellness program must be viewed through the perspective of increased employee productivity, decreased absenteeism due to health related causes, improved employee morale, decreased utilisation of employer subsidised health benefits, enhanced team cohesion and effectiveness and a decrease in turnover due to lack of job satisfaction.

Corporate fitness programs can offer a wide range of service from fitness, wellness, yoga, Pilates, body conditioning and recreation to injury prevention. Fitness services can extend to personal training to employees for corporate events that are normally held outdoors.

First, employees' fitness levels are assessed and evaluated through surveys given by the company. Then, fitness programs are designed for each employee. Some companies have opted to construct in-house fitness centers or gyms, so that employees can easily access these services during lunch breaks and so on.

Others have opted to give employees corporate memberships at nearby fitness clubs so that it's easy to go work out during lunch, on the way to or on the way home from work. If employees are sick or out of shape, they are a lot more likely to suffer an injury, and many may require more recovery time. By contrast, if fitness plans are implemented as a piece of a workday schedule, staff are more efficient, and probably wont take leave or be absent due to disease or sickness. And not to mention, this is a great benefit to industry not just in productivity, which we all know increases their bottom line; it also literally drives down overall costs, as medical expenses are reduced when employees are healthy.

In a hypothetical situation, how would you perform if you didn't feel at home in your workplace, were tired all the time, couldn't cope well with stress and so forth. How would it affect your performance at work and in all other parts of your life? Now imagine what effect that would have on your business...leaving your staff health and wellbeing to chance has a significant impact on your business bottom line!

Customers will deal with your employees most of the time and probably quite rarely with yourself, and what they see and feel after interacting with your staff will be their perception of your brand - no matter how fancy your copy-written mission statement on the website is. People don't care who you say you are, but what they perceive you to be - and a business is no different. It Is About Progression - When doing any type of training, resistance training in particular, it is very important to challenge yourself to become stronger.

The simple reason is that our bodies have no reason to adapt, whether it be muscle tone, weight loss or weight gain, if we don't give them a good enough reason to. Strive to become a little stronger every session, to add more weights or more repetitions than your last session and try to finish your gym workout as quickly as possible.

Companies are realizing the importance of employee fitness. These fitness programs help companies control or reduce employee turnover and ensure positive returns on human resource investments.
