Group fitness is simply working out with other exercisers in a class led by a fitness professional. Classes can be great for those looking for something different, those who need a little extra motivation, and those who need some extra attention and are new to exercising. Men and women of all ages can enjoy group classes. Many gyms offer advanced classes as well.

If there is one common denominator in modern day American life, it is a lack of time. People have large workloads, busy family lives and many day-to-day obligations to fulfill. How can anyone carve out the necessary time to give their bodies the attention they deserve? Barbells group fitness classes meet on average 2 times a week and last anywhere from 45-60 minutes. They are targeted, succinct and no-nonsense. As busy as life can be, most everyone can spare around 2 hours total per week to have the body they desire.

People can also claim mental damages, stress, or humiliation. For this reason it is extremely important that your group fitness instructor liability insurance policy gives you the most specific and comprehensive coverage possible. Although certain endorsements (additional coverage) may add to the total premium that you pay each year, in the end it will be well worth it. Too many frivolous lawsuits are settled in favor of the plaintiff to warrant gambling with your coverage amounts and limits.

The crossfade feature will allow you to create a list where the music flows from one song to the next without gaps. This is important to keep the energy going for your students. You can crossfade your playlist either on your computer or right on your iPod.

If you are a group fitness instructor who is experiencing pain or any of these symptoms, do not ignore them. People who teach exercise need to take care of themselves more than anyone else. Eat a balanced diet, get rest and drink plenty of water. Your classes will benefit, you will be healthier and you will have more energy to enjoy other activities in your life.

In terms of price, group fitness is basically a compromise between a gym membership and a personal trainer. To make sure you are getting value for money, ask about the maximum number of participants per trainer, membership options and flexible fee structures. You can get great value from group fitness as it provides a blend of personal attention with a structured approach to managing your fitness and builds a stronger sense of accountability as to whether you go or not, that a gym simply cannot offer.

In my opinion, there is more to an effective group fitness class than making sure everybody leaves the room tired....not only that, I believe that it is possible to customize group fitness programs to every participant in the group....assuming they are all healthy enough to be exercising in the first place. In fact, I do this with every one of my own group fitness classes. I do this by implementing effective assessments, modifications, and progressions.

Boot camps are good for something different to your normal group class. You can still train with friends and have the guidance of an instructor. But expect to pay a higher rate for a good boot camp workout because of the necessary equipment. Boot camps aren't for you if you don't like to the novelty of being ordered around. But if you enjoy a bit of army role play then boot camp may be the thing for you.
