Colors affect all of us in different ways. Each color, however, has certain universal properties or associations. Flowers of different colors have unique meanings too. Use these color meanings as a guide to help you find just the right gift for each person and each occasion.

Red is the color of action, vitality, power, fire and energy. Red is also associated with passion, desire and love.

Orange is the color of vitality, joy, creativity, attraction, success and encouragement.

Yellow is the color of joy, happiness, optimism and sunshine. Yellow also arouses cheerfulness and stimulates mental energy.

Green is the color of nature, growth, stability and safety. Green is also associated with life, fertility and money.

Blue is the color of trust, loyalty, serenity, sky and sea. It is associated with dependability, spirituality and peace.

Purple is the color of magic, meditation, intuition and mystery. Purple is also associated with luxury, nobility, wisdom, dignity and power.

White is the color of light, goodness, innocence, purity and cleanliness. White is the color of perfection.

Black is the color of power, elegance, formality, evil and death. Black is considered a classic and sophisticated color for clothing.

Pink is the color of beauty, romance, affection and friendship. Pink is also associated with feminine qualities or infant girls.

Brown is the color of earth, order, friendship, endurance and all things organic. Brown gives us a solid, wholesomeness.

Silver is the color of the moon, treasure, female energy and the unconscious mind.

Gold is the color of wisdom, wealth, illumination, security and luck. People who favor gold are optimistic.

Roses and Colors:

Ø Brown is associated with stability and masculine qualities and it symbolizes that 'down to earth' feeling.

Ø Silver symbolizes riches and is both glamorous and distinguished. It is a graceful color.
