New Site Feature — Wibiya Tool Bar
Author: Dan Blackburn | Filed under: Article Content King NewsYou may have already noticed the new Wibiya Toolbar on the Article Content King web site and wondered what is was. So I am going to tell you… It’s pretty cool and is already driving additional traffic to the articles on site.
We were approved as “beta testers” for the tool bar on Monday and I decided to add it right away. To me, it’s a lot cooler than the Google Friend Connect social bar we had before. (We are still using GFC for comments).
The Wibiya toolbar is currently in beta and may be blocked if you use I.E. but it works well in FireFox. Also they are only offering a fixed number of tools, but they are promising a lot more to come. Judging by what they are offering already, I’m excited about what they may have planned.
Here is how the Wibiya tools bar is working to increase traffic to the site and make it a more “social” place.
The Wibiya tool bar allows visitors to connect their Facebook account with Article Content King and join our Facebook community with one click. Members can add other members as Facebook friends directly from the site and post messages in the community for all to see. Joining the community could prove a great way to get more Facebook friends and traffic, especially if you post something to the community. Remember, every visitor to the page has access to the community.
It tracks all the “Twitter Tweets”. When ever anyone “Tweets” any article, it appears on the toolbar. You can see all the “Tweets” that are happening by clicking the “Twitter” icon on the bar. Visitors can also “Tweet” any page to Twitter using the tool bar.
The toolbar has links to popular social bookmarking sites, making it easy for visitors to bookmark articles that they enjoyed.
There is a translator on the toolbar, which can be used to translate any page into any of 10 different languages with one click.
There’s also a link to subscribe to the blog feed, a search engine (which is actually better than the one on the site) and links to the most recent articles and random articles.
It’s a pretty cool toolbar. I hope you like it too.
