I do this so that I can get a better understanding of what our members want from an article site, discover parts of the site where things need improving, and generally test the fetaures that we provide.

One of the great benefits of using the site as a member is that I earn Ad Space Credits. Each time somebody views one of my articles, I earn credits. Each time somebody views articles from people in my downline, I earn credits. And each time I moderate somebody elses’ articles, I earn credits.

Once I had reached the threshold of 1000 credits, which didn’t really take very long, I was able to enter code to display my own Google AdSense ads in 4 different positions on Article Content King pages.
As it was my own AdSense code, it meant that I would earn the money from clicks on those ads. How many other article sites give you the opportunity to earn money from advertising? Personally, I can’t think of any.

Article Content King is a busy site. It receives more visitors each day than most of my own personal sites receive in a month. Think about what that means in terms of exposure of the ads. And because AdSense is content-sensitive, the ads that it displays are relevant to the content of the pages on which they are displayed. So people who see those ads do so because they are viewing a page that interests them, which means that they are more likely to be interested in the ads, too.

And that theory is working out well. Since adding my AdSense codes to the Article Content King site, I am now receiving more AdSense clicks per day than I get in a month on my other sites.

The more articles I write, and the more of other peoples’ articles I moderate, the more Ad Space Credits I earn, and in turn the more I earn from AdSense.
And the best part is that people might view my articles long after I submit them – maybe years after.

If you have not set your ads yet, you have nothing to worry about, you have not been affected. If you submit your ads for approval before this issue is fixed, they will not be approved until after the issue has been fixed.

It has come to our attention that advertising credits are being “eaten” by search engine robots. This will not do! The search engine spiders live at Article Content King. GoogleBot alone eats up over 10 GIG of bandwidth every month.. But it never buys anything or clicks an ad. Originally a script was written to prevent this from happening, with our continuing efforts to improve the site, somewhere down the line it was bypassed. Not being a programmer myself it took a while for me to realize, and I have no idea how long it has been a problem for. So we are giving you back all your credits from the start.

In a nutshell…

You do not earn credits when a robot visits your page, but you have been losing credits (if your ads are set). You are going to get all your advertising credits back.

It was never our intention for this to happen and you must  be compensated.

It will take a few days to fix this, but when we have you will get back ALL the advertising credits you have spent. Your views will be converted back into credits and this time, they will display to real people… not robots.

If you have been disappointed with the revenue your ads have generated on the site, this is why. All we can do is fix the issue and give you back your credits. The good news is, you will start to see an income from your credits now. We make an average of $6 – 8 per 1000 visitors at article content king and you will be able to tap into that now. (Sorry about before).

Just to be clear about advertising credits, 1000 credits does not equal 1000 page views. It equals 250. You use up 4 credits every time your ads are displayed. (One for each ad).

You earn 1 credit every time your articles are viewed on the site as a free member, and 2 credits if you are a Silver member. As a Silver member you accumulate credits twice as fast from your referrals articles too. When your credits are making you more than $5 per month, upgrading will become a no-brainer, but it may not be so cheap then.

The cost of upgrading will always be pitched in relation to the average value of the advertising space and expected natural traffic to each article. We WANT you to make more money by upgrading… We will get more traffic that way.
