Free members can submit articles, but they must add their “author badge” to a web site. Not every web site that they want to link to in their articles and on their author profile page, just one web site.

Free members can also moderate articles and earn advertising credits for doing so, but free members can no longer use their advertising credits until they upgrade their membership.

The members first 5000 advertising credits earned can be used to pay for an upgrade to the “Basic” membership level.

Basic members get full access to submit articles under as many pen names as they like. They do not have to add their author badge to any web site, but if they choose to, they earn extra advertising credits which can be used to display their Google Adsense ads across the site.

Basic members earn 1 credit every time one of their articles is viewed and 2 credits when their profile page is viewed. (Visits only count once from the same visitor in a 24 hour period).

Basic (and free) members also earn 0.1 credits for views of  articles submitted by any author that they referred to article content king. This continues down 10 levels so the advertising credits can really build up. (Full explanation is in the members area).

• Silver members earn credits at double the rate of Basic members
• they get full control of the ad space
• and can set their ads to appear only in specific categories.

This makes Silver members advertising credits worth a LOT more… perhaps as much as 10 times more.

Our Silver membership level is for people who want to get the most possible revenue from their articles published at article-content-king. If you are not interested in making money from your articles, then Silver membership is not for you. You can still submit articles free at article-content-king.com

Rather than actually paying authors, we give them direct control of the ability to make money from the site (i.e. the ad space).

Credits are earned when an authors articles are viewed on the site, when the member moderates articles and when the member’s referrals’ articles are viewed on the site.

Members earn credits down 10 levels of “downline”. So all your author referrals and all their referrals and so on down 10 levels, all earn credits for the member who introduced the first author.

The system works to ensure that when you create value by moderating articles, submitting articles that people want to read or referring authors to the site, you get rewarded in the same way we do… You get “control” of more ad space.

However, despite many members reaching the threshold of 1000 credits (required to enter ads), hardly any authors have. They could be making adsense income from the site, but it seems that they chose not to… for what ever reason.

So we are considering changing this system, or rather “Tweaking” it…

Would it be better if, rather than giving you direct control of the ad space to display your own ads, we kept control of the actual adspace, then paid you every month based on the number of credits your account has accumulated in that month?

We take the actual ad space earnings in the month, divide it my the number of credits generated in the month and work out how much each member is owed. Credits will be earned in exactly the same way, but rather than getting control of the ad space, you’d get paid what it was worth directly.

This would give everyone, even those without an Adsense account the ability to profit from the site.

Now here is the “bad” news…

If we do this, your credit balance would be zeroed before we start. We could not pay for credits retrospectively. It costs nothing to give you control of the ad space, but to pay for credits past would mean spending money that has already been spent developing the site.

We could of course, give you the choice, control the ads, or get paid your share.

This is not coded yet, I have not even discussed it with the programmers. Before I do, I’d like to get your opinion because there is no point adding a feature that no-one wants.

1. Make sure that your article is worth reading.  This sounds so obvious doesn’t it? Of course you want to make your article worth reading.  But do you really see that this is more important than anything else? The more you can make the reader feel like you solved something for them, the harder you make them laugh, the more you stimulate them,  the more likely they are to want to get to know you and tell their friends about you.Article marketing is, above all, about relationships… Not, as some think, about “back links”.
2. Moderate at least as many articles as you submit and give them all a fair ranking. Do your part in keeping the junk off the site by rejecting articles that are not worthy to sit next to your own.
3. When your articles are approved on the site, tell your friends as ask them to vote on them. The higher your article score, the higher your article will be ranked on the site and the more traffic you will receive
4. Promote subscription to your author RSS feed and have  headlines of every article you publish automatically delivered direct to RSS readers.
5. Publish your author RSS feed as a widget on your social networking profiles, blogs and Squidoo lenses.
6. Submit your articles to social bookmarking sites.
7. Update your Twitter feed automatically when your articles are approved. (you will find your author feed linked from any of the articles you have published on the site already).
8. Promote your article content king affiliate link. (We have loads of banners and ads in your members area). The more people we have promoting the site, the more visitors we will have who will be interested in reading YOUR articles.

Remember, every unique visitor to any article you (or your downline) have published on the site, can be directly converted into income for you!

Submit your articles to article content king and make money.

Along side every article you submit or read anywhere on the Internet, you will see ads within the content. It’s these ads that enable an article directory to exist as a free site, without them there would be no point in putting the effort and expense into running an article directory as a free site as there is no way to make money from it without advertising.

There’s only really 2 things that an article directory owner has to do to increase the value of their site.

1. Increase the amount of traffic to the site
2. Increase the amount of quality of information on the site so that when we do get a new visitor, they are likely to come back for more.

Spending effort getting visitors to the site without quality information for them to read is worthless, sure we will make a couple more pennies when someone clicks an ad, but it takes a lot of pennies to make a dollar and there is not much chance of someone bookmarking the site or subscribing to a feed when they find nothing of value worth reading.

With quality content comes quality ad space, space that advertisers are willing to pay a lot more than a couple of pennies per click for. It’s a LOT easier to increase the income from a content site by increasing the quality of the content, than it is through increasing the traffic. With quality content to display, increasing traffic is like climbing a ladder, without it, it’s like trying to climb a greased pole.

As I explain how our revenue sharing, affiliate program, community moderation system and every improvement we plan to add in the near future works, you will understand how the systems have been designed to achieve this.

How We Share The Revenue With You.

The system we have developed for you at article content king  makes it possible for you to make thousands of dollars per month, just by submitting article for free.

Every time one of your articles is viewed on the site by a 24 hour unique visitor, you earn a credit. Your credits accumulate every time someone visits an article you have published on our site on any particular day. (24 hour unique means that the visitor is only counted once in any 24 hour period).

So for example, if you have 100 articles submitted to the site, and they each get an average of 100 visits each in a particular month, you will accumulate 10,000 credits.

Credits can be converted into ads or cash!

You can either use your credits to display your own ads on the site in targeted categories, or you can ask us to sell it for you. If you choose this option, you will get approximately 80% of the fee we sell your credits for. If you choose to display your own ads, you get 100%

Now I know what you may be thinking. It’s going to take a LOT of traffic and a LOT of articles to generate enough credits to pay you thousands of dollars per month. And you would be right, but the great thing is… they do not all have to be YOUR articles.

You earn credits when your referrals articles are viewed on the site  too down 10 levels of referrals.

Here is how your credits could add up with just 50 articles submitted and only 10 views to each article per month, with just 3 referrals who do exactly the same thing as you with a ad space value of just $2 CPM

The easiest way to make this pay more is to increase the amount of money someone is willing to pay for the ad space. $2 CPM is quite low indeed.   If you double any of the factors in the calculation, the articles submitted, the average views, the number of referred or the CPM, your income doubles too. Imagine if it were $20 CPM! That’s really not impossible.

The community moderation system will ensure that we do not publish “junk” articles written by selfish “link obsessed” marketers any more, this will inevitably  increase the value of the ad space and that is more money for you.

But the best thing about this system is, every article you submit will automatically promote your article content king affiliate link. At the bottom of every article you submit is a link to “Article Source” this link is your affiliate link. When ever anyone picks up an article from article content king and uses it on their website or blog, this link is published along with it… Your affiliate link.
