I came across a brilliant article today about the womens struggles to gain equality in the workforce in Australia.. thru improved conditions and employment opportunities.. The women’s suffrage movement of the nineteenth century was an important part of their on-going struggle, with women in colonial society seeking the same opportunities and rights as their male counterparts..

this is based on current research being undertaken by the Australian Heritage Commission that is looking into the history of womens employment in Oz.. the report so far is quite interesting.. for instance i didnt know that Australian women lead the world in obtaining the vote during the nineteenth century; women first voted in South Australia on 23 March 1896. .. and in 2002 we celebrated 100 years of women’s suffrage in the Australian Commonwealth and 40 years of Aboriginal women’s suffrage.

The ‘role’ of women in a society is based on different belief structures, some allow for change easier than others. Much of the way things are is based on the way things have always been. Humans are creatures of habit, plus generally seek comfort. And much of our comfort, short term anyway, is derived from getting as much as possible organized and defined in our lives so most people try to avoid change. This can be evidenced as people hang on to old ideas sometimes for no more reason than it is what ‘has always been.” When one potential change is tied to other ideas and concepts that people have set in place the potenial change will have a more difficult time coming about. This can be seen where the related links run deep in a belief system. Any change can take time, more than we may like, but the key is to stick with it. Many of the women in the sufferage movement never did get to vote, but their efforts aided eventual success.

Another fabulous article.. im understanding more and more about diabetes by reading them.. for instance i didnt know about the increased risk of heart disease in diabetic patients.. your articles have taught me alot in managing diabetes and about diet and exercise..

Its nice to see someone writing about one of my favourite topics!! I LOOOVE a gorgeous scent ! Just yesterday whilst out shopping I had to sample Sarah’s Covert after reading a brief review.. “A stunning blend of fresh green notes, gorgeous florals and sensuous woods that instantly draws you in and won’t let you go” and looooved it.. perfect for day wear.. fresh and irresistable !!.. you have an extensive excellente review of some very popular ones.. may i also add a few faves of mine?..

i absolutely adore “Angel” by Thierry Mugler.. (my fave) just a touch thou as it can be a lil overpowering esp for day wear.. “Cool Water” by Davidoff.. is an excellente refreshing summery scent.. and “Sensi” by Giorgio Armani .. which to me reminds me of a fresh citrusy ocean breeze.. actually i could go on and on about my faves.. i have so many.. it was hard to em narrow down.. i truly believe a good scent is our personal signature.. its one of the first things we notice when we get close to someone and the last impression we are left with when we leave.. powerful stuff ..

Yes you are right that we should stop our children from taking soft drinks as it contains pesticides and so many bad content I have also seen a video where these drinks are used for cleaning toilets and believe me they are effective.
