With spiraling gas prices nowadays, boosting hydrogen gas on hydrogen gas cars are the chosen alternative device when compared to the expensive hybrids or pure hydrogen fueled cars. Besides being simple to set up, HHO boost system cost is inexpensive ranging from $100 up to $1500 for big size engines. Although lots of people have successfully used it and testified to the value of this product, still there are others who believe that this HHO boost system is a scam. If you are one of them or have tried it but failed to save gas, then this article is for you.

Being a licensed car and truck mechanic for over 20 years, I conducted my own research regarding hydrogen gas cars hoping that I might shed some facts whether it could help drivers save gas. Reading on the merits of this product, the main argument lies on how the HHO cell generator can actually work. This generator is based on producing hydrogen gas using electrolysis powered by the engine charging system. Before I can recommend this product, I would like to ask the following questions:

How much rate of hydrogen gas is required so that you can save gas?

What are the side effects of using hydrogen gas to the engine internal parts?

Can we use HHO gas on diesel engines?

What are the side effects of HHO gas on computer controlled engines?

Are there any chemical or electronic provisions we have to watch when adding HHO gas?

What safety precautions do we need when installing HHO gas?

I was hoping that raising these questions so that regular drivers can get the best information before spending a cent on hydrogen gas cars. The way this product is portrayed, all you have to do is apply electrolysis and you can save gas. There are more complexities involved and if you are not careful, it can damage your engine. This is true particularly when you are pushing more hydrogen or HHO gas to your combustion chamber. Doing so can make your fuel mixture super lean and has the potential to increase your engine combustion temperature. This is why I am so reluctant to get involved with this until my concerns are addressed.

In the final analysis, there is no guaranty if this product can really help you or not. Going by the market activity in the last 1-2 years, more and more hho gas generation products are coming out in the Internet. This includes gadgets meant to produced more hho gas and electronic devices meant to modify the wirings so it can work in your engine computer. This shows progress has been made and actual hho gas product that actually save gas without buying hybrid cars might be closer than you think. And if you take the extra precautions, who knows it might work for you. Remember: whether you like hydrogen gas cars or not, the price of gas gives us no choice.
